Electric Drivetrain
“BETTER UTILITY THAN A TRUCK WITH MORE PERFORMANCE THAN A SPORTS CAR”
Tesla.com
Tesla’s electric drivetrains are famous for delivering instant torque and fast acceleration. Because the batteries are placed in the floor of the vehicle, and there is no heavy engine high up in the front, the vehicle’s center of gravity is very low and spread out evenly, which improves handling and stability.
Monocoque Body
The Cybertruck features a monocoque design Tesla calls an “exoskeleton.” Instead of lightweight skin panels attached to a stronger structural frame, the Cybertruck’s special SpaceX-formula stainless steel skin provides the structural integrity of the vehicle. Because the material is corrosion-resistant, it is left unpainted. The windows are a super-strong polymer-layered composite.
